GWTA Region A represents six U.S. States and two
Canadian Provinces as shown in the graphic.
The
object of this site is to be a gateway to everything
happening in the states, provinces and chapters
within Region A.
GWTA is not just
about Gold Wing Motorcycles. It is a social organization aimed
at the pleasure of touring riding and the friendships we
establish along the way. You are welcome regardless of your
chosen ride. Our Motto is "Destination Friendship." This is
something we take seriously and is the sole reason for our
existence. GWTA is a not for profit organization. All officers
from the chapter level to the executive director work for the
betterment of the membership with their compensation being in
the form of new friends that are made along the way.
You are invited
to explore the web site and see what we have to offer. You are
then encouraged to link to a
State web site
and visit one of their Chapter meetings or activities.
Everyone is welcome. GWTA makes every effort to maintain a
family atmosphere and welcomes spouses and children at all
events.
You will
find your association with the GWTA folks will provide the
contacts needed to have great rides with a group of people or
alone if you prefer. The exchange of information between riders
can't help but provide some good ideas for new rides. In some
cases it provides safety tips that could prevent mistakes that
could spoil a great ride. This exchange will, at the very least,
provide information that will allow a more informed choice of
how you may want to spend the riding time available to you. Any
GWTA chapter will have many scheduled rides from which you can
choose to participate in any or all. The chapter will also
provide you with phone or email contacts to allow you to find
someone to ride with on those trips that aren’t on the schedule
but you want to go on a ride anyway.
